What to Expect

Many people seeking pelvic care have had experiences that make trust difficult. My commitment is simple:

  • Your body, your pace.
  • Consent is ongoing, not one-time.
  • You can decline any technique without explanation.
  • I will explain what I’m doing and why.
  • Your privacy is protected.
  • Your feelings and boundaries are honored, always.

Healing is most effective when you feel respected and safe. My role is to support, not push.

Your first visit is calm, gentle, and paced around your comfort.

  1. A conversation first. We start by talking about your symptoms, your goals, and anything you want me to know about your comfort and needs or past experiences. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right.
  2. Clothing & Draping
    • I always recommend wearing loose comfortable clothing that’s easy to work with and/or remove.
    • You will always be appropriately draped upon removal of clothing.
  3. Acupuncture and dry needling technique will be used in affected areas. Pelvic focused treatments often use external points in the pelvic diaphragm/sling, as wells as the abdomen, hips, low back and legs. There is no internal pelvic exams or acupuncture/dry needling.
  4. Make a plan- we will discuss how many visits may help, go over any lifestyle support, and/or emotional/physical concerns you may have. This is your treatment, you guide me!
